We fully understand that no one wants to lose a friend or relative. But responsibility for somebody who has passed away may fall to you and during such a difficult time it is wise to have experienced hands to guide you through the process efficiently.

At Martinsons, we are experienced in handling a range of probate matters and are able to handle the probate process from start to finish. This will normally involve helping clients firstly make sense of the law (which differs depending on whether there is a will or not) and their responsibilities as executors. We help collect in documentation and prepare (if necessary) the Inheritance Tax accounts to be declared to HMRC and submit the probate application to the courts.

We also help many clients handle numerous issues within this process such as valuations, sorting through documents and contacting banks and pension companies. We can also help with the administration of the estate, including transfers of equity and probate property sales.
